The Hot Springs School District is one of the top in the state, serving grades k-12. Our top-notch healthcare system, churches, outdoor sports and low crime rate make our town a great place to raise a family. Hot Springs boasts five city parks which contain four ball fields (baseball, soccer and softball), two tennis courts, a basketball court, a pickle ball court and a skateboard park. In addition there is a challenging 18 hole golf course, an indoor swimming pool (Evans Plunge), miles of walking trails and 44 active clubs and organizations.

Hot Springs is home to the world-famous Mammoth Site, the Wild Horse Sanctuary, Evans Plunge, Wind Cave National Park and 170 geothermal mineral springs along  Fall River. Fishing, hiking, biking and kayaking offer endless options for  summer fun. there are ample opportunities for  boating and fishing at Lake Angostura Recreational Area with its 36 miles of shoreline and 4 campgrounds.  Explore the many trails and streams throughout the area. Families can also create special memories as they bicycle or walk the expansive Mikelson Trail system that extends 108.8 miles (175.1 km), from Edgemont to Deadwood.
